Privacy Policy

How Shomi collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information during the public beta as of March 31, 2026.

Information we collect

Shomi collects information you provide when you create an account, complete your profile, send messages, submit service requests, leave reviews, contact support, or otherwise interact with the platform. This can include your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, account type, service details, request details, review content, messages, and other profile information you choose to provide.

How we use information

We use your information to operate the marketplace, authenticate users, match customers with providers, deliver notifications, support customer service, investigate misuse, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve the beta product. We do not sell personal information.

When information is shared

Shomi shares information only as needed to run the service, including with infrastructure and communications providers, and between marketplace participants when a request or conversation requires it. Public provider pages may display provider-selected business details, service listings, ratings, and reviews. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Shomi, or the public.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and support legitimate security and fraud-prevention needs. Shomi uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by contacting support. Some records may be retained where reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our terms.

Beta notice

Shomi is currently offered as a public beta. Features, flows, and data-handling practices may evolve as the product matures. When we make material updates to this policy, we will update the published version in the product or related launch documentation.
